You must be male

You must be at least 18 years of age.

You must be of good moral character and have a personal belief in the Supreme Being.

What should you do?

So if you know a friend, or neighbour who is a Mason and you have a notion of joining just ask him. He will be delighted to talk with you as all Masons are proud to be members of the Craft.

If there is no one to whom you can turn to you may wish to contact Lodge Albert Lochee 448 by using the following Contact Form.

Alternatively you may E-mail the Grand Lodge of Scotland for more details and they can provide you with the name of the secretary of a Lodge near to you whom you can contact.

What happens next?

After you make contact someone, usually the Secretary, will get in touch with you. We will want to get to know you, of course, and the Members of the Lodge will want to meet you socially at first.

You will then be required to complete an Application Form and you will also need to have two Proposers. This might seem difficult at first, but  once the Members get to know you, that should not be a problem.

The application is read in the Lodge at a meeting and you will then be invited to attend a meeting where a Committee will want to ascertain that you meet all of the Qualifications for Admission. This is another chance for some other Members to get to know you a little as well.

After that meeting the Lodge will take a vote and if approved, the Secretary will contact you to arrange a date for your Initiation, that is convenient to you, of course. The Secretary will send you official invitation.

That's it! You are then all set to become a Member of the largest Fraternal Brotherhood in the world!
